Wellington Shock Rugby World

The rugby world was today shocked to find the Wellington Hurricanes finally win a game.

The Canes beat comp favorites The Brumbies in a bizarre match at Brumbies home ground 20 – 13.

Australian Rugby Union spokespeople have denied rumors that they are approaching their New Zealand counterparts and offering them another chance at a co-hosting deal for the Rugby World Cup in return for a promise from the Kiwis not to beat them again.

Local fans put the shock win down to a new tactic being employed in rugby called tackling.

“Basically you grab hold of the other bloke and stop his progress” said sources close to the New Zealand Rugby Academy University.

“It appears to be working from early tests” said Richard Lowe, a senior professor of tactical rugby at the Academy’s Whakarewarewa campus.
